The school has several subjects that are offered externally but are associated with the school.
Tuition is not included in the school fees so private arrangements must be made with the facilitator.
Please ensure that you register directly with the individual offering the subject.
Once registered, learners must complete a subject change form with their Grade Heads to have it registered on the WCED system as an 8th subject.

Equine studies are offered by Mrs Sue Copley to learners who are actively involved in this field.
This subject can replace a Group 4,5 or 6 subject and is facilitated by Mrs Copley at the school.

French is offered as a Second Additional Language by Mrs Dawson at the French Centre on Kommetjie Road.
It is suited to learners who have the necessary background to either take French as an 8th subject or in place of Afrikaans should they qualify for a language exemption.
Lessons take place at the French Centre after school hours.

IT has to be offered as an 8th subject in grades 10 and 11 and in grade 12 learners have the option of making it one of their 7 subjects (by dropping another subject).
It is suited to learners who are lateral thinkers and creative problem-solvers with an obvious interest in computing.
It is recommended that pupils achieve a minimum of 70% in English and Mathematics
SSir Online School offers IT for the NSC exam. The course is made up of a large number of video lessons that can be watched repeatedly and weekly online lessons via Zoom. The course is well-structured and weekly goals are set. Learners who are self-starters and eager to learn will thrive in this self-study with support type course. Access to free Delphi software is facilitated. While all assignments are done at home, exams are done at school. Costs are approximately R 6000 pa.
